Review on DmHirmg Adjustable Length FaceMasks Lanyard by Phil Morales

It may rip off your ear loops

My only issue with these ties is that when you remove the mask from the clips they sometimes rip the ear loops right off the mask. If you wear disposable surgical masks like I do, this isn't a big problem as my masks are single use only. If you throw them away after each use, it doesn't matter if they detach from the ear loops. And if you are VERY careful not to pull out the ear loops with your fingers, you can reuse your mask. The problem, however, lies in the simple design of the clips that hold the mask's ear loops: they are not easy to open, so the easiest way to attach the mask to the strap is to stretch the ear loops with your own strength to pull it through the strap to slide tiny slot. This works well when the mask is placed on the strap but as said it tends to pull the strap off the mask when it is removed. Is that a small price to pay for the convenience of wearing a mask? Dangling a drawstring on the chest so that it can be tightened at any time? You have to decide that yourself. If you use the same mask for several days in a row, it may be worth it. But even reusable masks need frequent washing, which means you still have to remove them from the lanyard every day. Reusable masks are more cloth than the polypropylene masks I use, so it's possible that these ear loops are strong enough to withstand the pressure of putting on and taking off the strap clips. You need to have the mask handy, but don't put it on your face, you don't have to awkwardly hang it over an ear or wrap it around your wrist.
