Review on Jetunit Outboard Ignition Coil for Yamaha 115-225 hp 6R3-85570-01-00 6R3-85570-00-00 by Fredo Zhan

I used your new kit on a 1997 Yamaha 115 (V4 engine). They work fine. The problem I had was that the fit on the cylinder block wasn't very good. The coils look almost identical to Yamaha's, but the plastic mounting tab on the part itself has been made too narrow to fit properly. What I did do was shave off the bottom tab on the mounting side (they are designed to fit either left or right) so that the tab fits snugly onto the block and is securely attached to the ground wire. It's easy to modify with wire cutters and a utility knife, but the piece had to be made to fit properly. Once they showed up, they worked fine. It is recommended to install new candles if they have not been changed for a long time, since old candles with a large gap can cause these coils to fail. For less than 1/4 the OEM cost I am overall happy with them.
