I saw one online and thought I'd risk $11 plus shipping from shopgoodwill.com. I wouldn't pay full price after reading other reviews here. Anyway, it arrived working, with some music I removed and put in my own. With 1.3GB of music on it, everything worked fine. It sounded good and seemed like a good product. Then I had to get greedy and fill it up with my music to the end. I've read that it crashes when it overflows, so I made sure to keep more than 26MB on its capacity. However, when I unplugged it and plugged it back in, it froze and is now completely useless, not even recognized by the computer for use as a flash drive. So it's obviously a 2GB MP3 player, but adding an indefinite number of 1.3-2GB files will cause it to fail permanently. I'm intrigued by the ability to use firmware replacement software as mentioned by Dave Angus in his review. But I don't know if this is the case with this model and you need a special firmware file for this player that someone has to provide. This would be a good product support project if it were possible. I'd love to download a few things to get it working again, but to this day this mp3 player to me is just a bad joke as far as I'm concerned.
