Not the best, but not the worst either

I've been using this camera for a little over a week and am trying to get a better idea of the pros and cons. After moving around my house a few times and tweaking the settings, this is my final verdict: Pros: Image quality is pretty good. That's far better than any of the many fakes out there, but not on par with, say, the Google Nest Cam. That's to be expected and overall I'm completely satisfied with the picture. It was very easy to set up and manage. The app is well designed and very user friendly. This is actually my favorite aspect of the camera. The camera was well packaged with everything needed to set it up. Cons: Motion detection is pretty poor. At level 5 (most sensitive) it completely missed me when I ran right in front of it. I wonder what exactly he missed. Depth seems to be an issue as anything further than a few feet will let through (except something bright like car headlights). Night vision is also not up to scratch in my opinion. The only reason I got this was to keep an eye on my driveway and bin at night as we have a bear problem. If you look at my sample photo you can clearly see the trash can in the frame, but twice in the last week my bucket was ransacked by a bear and the camera missed it completely. by price. I'm sure I would be perfectly happy with a more expensive camera. I am so happy with the manufacturer that I will likely continue to use this camera and also purchase an upgrade to better suit my needs. It was a good "test drive" of the overall workmanship without spending a lot of money.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Hard to say
