I like the overall look and quality of this hood. However, there are a few notable points: - This is a hardwired device, so keep that in mind before you start installing it. - You need a flap in the vent that goes outside, otherwise you will get drafts. I used the one from my old hood and it worked fine. They are sold in almost every hardware store. - The noise level is much better than my old one. - The only problem I have is lightbulbs. I copied the following quote directly from the ad: QUOTE; "This appliance is fitted with bi-level halogen lamps that flood the hob and surrounding area with ample light." The Broan hood comes without bulbs! I bought two lightbulbs from Amazon and my order was cancelled... I bought two lightbulbs on ebay and my order was cancelled... Find out these lightbulbs are illegal in California. (I live here). Nowhere does Broan mention this. So I bought a pair of 35w HD LED bulbs and they don't work properly at low temperature. I think I should have bought something else, but how should I know? Or maybe broan/amazon should notify you in advance or at least offer some possible solutions. The reason and the only reason I didn't send it back is because it's fully installed and the packaging is long gone. You know headlights are the final step in installation and I figured it would be easy to just buy bulbs. Now I'm worried these bulbs might start a fire or something the way they hum... Rich...
