Not only does this require no charging, but it also overloads the USB port on my new computer. A warning to this effect appeared on my computer screen. I just hope this $70 speaker doesn't damage my $3000 computer. Another complaint is that the charging cable is only about 2 feet long and isn't a typical USB connector like my Android phone, so I had to clip it next to my computer to get it close enough to the USB port. Also, it doesn't even come with a power adapter. The cord in the cord (which I intended to use) is only 2 feet long too! worked.
