I've been using this product for about two and a half months in tough conditions. in the factory and they have to climb a lot on the machines and everything else I have to do. I found this item very handy as it folds down to fit snugly in my toolbox and is flat enough that I still have room underneath for tools, although I knew from the product description that it wasn't for serious work like I thought was do it I was still thinking about the price and convenience. I would try I'm not a small person at 260lbs but standing in the middle felt very sturdy and I always felt safe standing on top of him but got overconfident and stood on his corner with one foot forcing him to carrying all my weight on one foot of the step and it broke under me so I am deducting two stars, it was still strong enough to break into pieces under me, it happened so slowly that I had enough time for it that I can come to work in the factory with the breasts completely covered with oily water and other things that can make it very dangerous to stand on the platform b without proper support. I was expecting the stair handles to not work as well and bought a pad to stick on. but to my surprise the handles on the steps held me very well and never slipped off. In short I would recommend this product for the average person but if you are a tall person like me then surely use it as something designed for a stepladder to help you reach something slightly higher than You, or if you are a stepping stone to something greater, don't use it as a platform to do all your outdoor work
