1 star rating only because of a specific issue I had with them - they left little greasy dirty black spots all over the house. When they arrived I let my 2 year old carry them around the house to get used to them. He seemed to like them and loved wearing them outside! That night I found black grease stains on the couch. I couldn't figure out what was causing it. They cleaned up with Dawn soap mixed with water and elbow grease. I haven't seen the markings anywhere else. The next day I made him wear them inside the house for the last time before wearing them outside. He was in the house for maybe 10 minutes. They left black grease stains on the wooden floor. I was supposed to take a picture but instead I panicked and immediately started putting them away before my little one entered. The stains were mostly all gone and were caused by stains from something that came off the boots. There is a stain on our hallway carpet in this photo. We went with Dawn and water. We strongly recommend not wearing them indoors.
