Great bean pot! for small appliances

This multi cooker is round, not oval. Does it look round in the photos? Not for me, so I figured this might be an important clue. And more importantly, in my opinion the inside diameter of the bottom of the pot is about 7 3/8 to 7 1/2 inches depending on whether you allow a slight bend in the inside wall. Do not buy this pot if you plan to cook roasts or chicken in a slow cooker. It won't work if it's really a small piece of meat. Hey, that doesn't even fit in the two leg quarters below, so that should give you an idea of the size of this one. The sidewalls are nearly straight for about 4 1/2 inches and then - for some very odd reason - curve outward so the top inside diameter is a good 10 inches. That's why I say it's the perfect bean pot; Soups, casseroles, potatoes, meatballs, sausages, desserts, etc. A nice feature of this slow cooker is that the insert can be used on the hob. This allows you to brown the ingredients or cook the beans, or you can even reheat all the ingredients to give the slow cooker a head start before turning it on. The insert is suitable for an induction cooker or hob, so I decided to order the "another one?!" multicooker. I have way too many multi cookers but this one works great on my induction cooktop. The insert has a base very similar to what you see on Analon and Circulon induction cookware. Analon and Circulon bases tend to scratch my ceramic/glass cooktop, so I put paper towels between the cookware and the cooktop to prevent this. That's what I did with this insert. The flat outer bottom of this insert (which is in contact with your induction element) is exactly 6 1/2 inches long. Thanks to the small size of the inner base, you can fry onions, Mirapois or the Holy Trinity. ", carrots, garlic, ground beef, meatballs, chunks of meat, and smaller pieces of chicken. But it will be dense and to get a good browning, rather than steaming, you might want to consider batch cooking. Another great feature: lidded jar! And a glass lid with a rubber seal all around! The lid holds, doesn't move, and holds steam. And maybe that's the reason for the weird burnout of the top side panel. The condensate easily drains back into the pan. The slow cooker works fine, but has (im Only one high and one low setting (unlike some Cuisinart multicookers). It is lightweight and very attractive with its shape, style and color.
