Speeds are still low. I switched to a much older Cat5 patch cord and have improved speeds. I also now have a company I bought it from who email me asking them to remove this review for money but refuse to do it through Revain so it's legal. Pros: Looks good, easy to hide, seems durable. The company says Hello, I bought this cable because the Smolink Revain site advertises it as a 2000MHz, 40Gbps Ethernet Cat 8 cable. I upgraded an old Cat 5e patch cord I've had for a while. For $10 I thought it was a decent deal to try. For my part, I pay for Xfinity 300Mbps internet through a Gb ethernet port/wifi 6 router to another Gb capable ethernet port on my PC. With the old Cat 5e, I regularly reached or exceeded the 300 Mbit/s mark. Often spikes in the 450-500 Mbps range. With Smollink Cat-8 I only average 240-270 Mbit/s and sometimes peaks of 330-340 Mbit/s. Which isn't bad per se, but it's not what I'm paying for and it's a lot slower than what the purported Cat-8 is supposed to offer. If you're looking for an upgraded cable, just spend your money on a decent brand.
