Using this as a flat surface should work fine. I tried gluing and attaching it to a Chevy dashboard that isn't flat and it kept breaking off even after being clamped for 48 hours. The old broken cover that I took off and tried to replace with this acrylic piece was about 1/2 the thickness of this 1/16 inch thick piece, so I just wanted to find a 1/32 inch thick product. Or, as my title says, I wish it was more malleable. I ended up using a slow setting epoxy that flowed down the inside of the acrylic piece, but when I left it clamped for 4 days just to make sure the epoxy had set, it held the acrylic piece in a bent position. Not a perfect job as I had a leaking epoxy and a few scratches from trying to clamp multiple times. Basically it just wasn't thin or malleable enough for my project. It will likely work for any project that requires a flat piece of acrylic. Not permanently curved.
