Update 10.06.2019: I used this a few more times on a hike - I'm still very happy with it. I haven't had any other leak issues; It seemed to get easier with use. This helps us save water when camping because we don't have to rinse it out multiple times: pour out ALL the liquid, let it dry, then empty the rest into a bin liner. The coffee he makes is very, very good; and he fills two large cups (we drink a lot of coffee). I don't actually use a timer or thermometer, but I think they're nice. First review: I'm pretty happy with the press. It was a bit tricky to figure out how tight the bottom needed to be screwed on. It leaked a bit the first time I used it. I suspect this is due to the very good sealing of the filter and the flexibility of the plastic used. Next time tightening a little seemed to solve the problem and ease the pressure if necessary. Usually the remnants of a fresh press leave some loops in the cup (especially if you press too fast), but there was almost nothing. and the coffee tasted rich. Cleaning was a breeze. Really worth it, looking forward to using it in my camp kitchen this summer.
