Very Pretty!: my feedback

Typically with less expensive costume apparel, you can't expect too much. I wanted a headband that would match the green in my dress and I love peacock feathers. This is a gorgeous piece. It was slightly tight feeling so the stretchy sequined part did pinch my forehead a bit. Also the decoration started to come unglued just from trying it on, so I used some bobby pins to secure it. I was on a cruise so I didn't have my hot glue gun handy. Not sure how you are supposed to make these stay in place neatly over your hair--I just pinned it in and tried not to touch it. My friends did theirs by just wearing it like a normal gym headband with the band under all their hair and the feathers in the middle of the forehead. This does keep it in place and doesn't mess up your hair. However I'm kinda into RP and I couldn't find any historical pictures of anyone wearing one that way, so I didn't do it. The only thing that needed improvement is that the beaded decoration part with the feathers should really have a few stitches holding it in place rather than just hot glue. Since most heads are round, the glue just separates from the band. For the price and "costume wear" this isn't unexpected. Looked great with my outfit and I'll probably do the costume another year and use it gain.

Pros
  • It was a wonderful addition to my outfit!!!
Cons
  • The feathers may be fragile and break easily
