Good replacement for the price
The filter that was present was black in the primary filter and yellow in the secondary filter. Shutoff valves on each side of the water meter were defective, and shutoff valves next to the filters were due to water leaking when shut off. I just bought a house and I see why they never changed the filters. A common mistake plumbers and consumers make is this: before installing a new filter, gently twist the water at the bottom of the bucket to clear the line. Sediment collects in the line before each filter. Remove this from the system, not into a new filter.
