Do not purchase this product to install pendant lights. We cleaned the roof overhang (vinyl) with rubbing alcohol, installed as per the instructions, we installed the clips and let them sit before installing the lights (as per the instructions), we pressed the clips firmly into place (so much that I got a bruise on my arm), we installed the clips 1 foot apart (the instructions say the clips should be no more than 2 feet apart), then we hung our lanterns. You looked great. for 1 night. Clips started falling off one by one so we had to turn off the light. All that works is to install these clips and they don't work! Such a terrible product! I would NOT buy this product if you plan to install pendant lights. As a result, we bought a metal cable and will stretch two parallel strands of cable to hang light on it. Save money and just skip this product, buy a cable instead. I wish I had my money and time back, such a waste of money, time and effort.
