We had a white plastic frame on our plate that turned yellow and looked pretty ugly. I took it off and just used the bare panel which looked fine until the car wash started warping it. After three straightening episodes I was looking for a new frame. This frame is stiff and heavy enough to prevent flexing and vibration, and looks great without obscuring anything that's displayed on the record. Reliability will show over time, but I expect good results from the build.
