Review on MagnaFlow Performance Muffler Exhaust 4in x 9in Oval Center/Offset Straight-Through - Satin Finish 11256 by Kenneth Wood

Excellent silencer. Appears to be very good quality. The time will show. I've never had a problem with Magnaflow mufflers, so I expect no less from this one. I welded this muffler into my 2001 Jeep TJ Wrangler with 2.5" pipes after getting fed up with the 4" round Magnapack muffler I originally had (too loud). This muffler is relatively quiet but has a nice tone and sound when you really step on the skinny pedal. The best way to describe it compared to the Magnapack is that it has exactly the same sound and tone just at a much lower volume, which is what I was looking for. There can be a little hum at highway speeds, but I can't hear it at all because of the noise of the tires, the road, and the jeep's wind. If you are looking for an ultra quiet muffler then this is not for you. If you are looking for an increase in performance (less stringent exhaust) and a slightly more aggressive sound, then this muffler is for you. Now I can really drive my jeep without a headache!
