I bought this for my Siamese cat who grooms herself too much. I bought another brand/style at the same time. It's generally a mellow, calm cat, so it's easy to dress - just fold it up like a sock or stocking and start at the head through the collar, then pull down along the body. It took her a few days and lots of love and validation to not get scared, but in the end quitting grooming helped her. I also think it helps her feel more secure/calmer. She will sleep for hours and come to me for extra love and seek me for that comfort. However, the tail hole is a bit tight and not as flexible as it should be. There's something wrong with the kitty litter - if I move it around for her and put it in a drawer she can walk, but if she tries it herself it's all over the costume and it gets very stressful for her. I find it best to be prepared to take your cat to the bathroom a few times a day if need be, as a baby, or just to dress her up for a while so she can walk. I made small tears in the collar and tail area to make them less tight.
