There are three main buttons and knobs to understand - the first is at the base of the part that holds the phone - if you press while walking the levers are quite far apart and my Note 9 fits in perfectly. The next one is at the base of this part of the phone. By releasing the grip, you can determine the angle at which the phone is held. You will hear a click when you slide the phone holder forward or backward, when it is at the right angle, tighten it and you can't accidentally change the angle. The third is at the base of the stem just above the part that fits in the cup holder. As you turn this wide textured screw, you'll see the mug magically expand as you turn it. You can insert it into the cup holder and if it's not secured, just twist it until the base fits snugly and securely into the cup holder. The 13-inch length is ideal for viewing Waze or Google Maps without taking your eyes off the road. - Outstanding functionality!
