The main reason I bought these was to package a range of computer components that I no longer had ESD protected packages for , in preparation for a big move. In particular, some of them were motherboards with small PCIe cards or CPUs still in slots that I could just put in a large bag, then temporarily seal, wrap in bubble wrap, and pack away. The size may seem excessive, but for me it has worked on a range of XL-ATX, E-ATX, and SSB motherboards, all of which fall outside of the commonly available ESD pocket sizes (12x16) as they are larger or are longer.
