I have had many different detectors over the years, I have doubted this purchase and assured I spent my money wisely and I am very satisfied with the purchase of this radar detector after about a month and a half of use. So easy and convenient! At first I didn't know how to set up the functions so that the detector would not give false alarms. After a simple call to customer service, I just set it up right so it literally never makes false statements, and I only hear it when there's a real threat of getting radar from law enforcement. What's the difference after you learn how to use or adjust it? No foreigners on the customer service line, they are easy to talk to and very accommodating! Apparently I used the "Mark" feature to mark my false alarms against "Memory Mute" (pressing the mute button twice on a detector or on a chord to mute it and remind me to do it. I like that it don't bother me if he doesn't want my attention with a real warning!I used to have an old escort who started making mistakes all the time because of the new technology with passing cars - so annoying!Also they taught me how to filter and maybe city uses mode with amazing shortcuts This detector has it's own settings instead of having to scroll through all the menus to find or set a feature!I'm so glad I made this purchase!and worth the same price i would rather invest dollars in this type of insurance than wait in court to pay the community for this detector imal me.me advocate safe driving at any speed and pay attention to road conditions. Safety and health always come first! Have fun with this little detector, it's cool! Woodate: I've had it for many years now and now you can buy it for $100 cheaper, I would have bought it if I didn't have it - well worth it!
