I was hesitant to buy a Food Saver because they are so expensive. Instead, I use sous vide bags because I think I can save money that way. Unfortunately the packs that are coming out now don't last very long so I ended up doing a little searching and found that there are cheaper food saving products out there. The first one I got didn't have a heating element. Changed quickly, got a new one the next day. The replacement works very well. It's not very intuitive to use and the instructions aren't clear (hence the 4 stars) but once I figured it out it works great and I love it!
