I bought this for our new church video camera. We send the output to our switch via HDMI. The HDMI port on the camera is next to the zoom control, it points straight to the right side of the camera and the HDMI cable coming out was a big strain on your hands when lying on it while controlling the zoom. I connected one of these connectors at right angles to the camera so that the HDMI cable no longer sticks out like a palm rest. I think this will extend the life of this plug a bit. Good adapter that does what it should. Would buy it again in a heartbeat if needed.
