I like this product. I had a logic board failure on my 2012 Macbook Pro and backed up pretty much everything, but there were a few important things I was working on that I didn't back up that day. I ripped the hard drive out of my old Macbook Pro, ordered one of these puppies and popped it right in. Now my old Macbook Pro hard drive works like an external hard drive. One thing to note: With the 2012 version of the Macbook Pro hard drive, I had to remove a screw on the side of the hard drive to put it in, but that's not really an issue, just something you might need to do. .
