Delo 400LE performed flawlessly in my 2007 Silverado 3500 Classic with 6.6L Duramax (LBZ). Cold startups sounded smooth and well lubricated. If you are looking to optimize every aspect of efficiency, this will probably net you a few % points over a 40 weight conventional motor oil and should safely allow an extended drain interval. I ran it for 15K miles over the course of about 6 months before draining.I have exclusively used Rotella T-6 Full Synthetic in my HD Diesels for the past 10 years. I decided to try this oil in my LBZ Duramax because I live in North Dakota where winter lows can exceed 40F below zero. By the numbers, Delo 400LE is the absolute best performing cold startup oil (pour point) that is robust enough to provide acceptable year-round lubrication.Delo 400LE deserves 5 starts because it is the best product you can buy in many use cases. For many people that do not need the extreme cold pour point, the high cost associated with this oil may not provide the best overall value compared to other cheaper 40 weight synthetics.
