Warning: I'm not a gamer, I'm a programmer. who loves mechanical keyboards. Pros (for me) - Pretty nice keyboard font. - Tactile but non-clicking switches (similar to Cherry Browns) - Quiet, especially with O-rings installed. This keyboard could be a good option for an office where noise is an issue. - O-rings are included (you need to install them yourself) - Beautiful white backlight - When caps lock is on, caps lock turns green - Key switches claim exceptional durability. Cons: - Cheap short and thin keycaps. These are nothing but excellent replacement keycap sets that Razer sells separately. Spring, At least the font on it is pretty. - There is almost no tactile influence of the switches. You can feel it if you press the button very slowly, but at normal speed I see almost no feedback. In that sense they are very similar to Cherry Browns. (My base for this kind of tactile/non-click keyswitches is Holy Pandas, a pretty high bar) - The keyboard isn't very heavy (especially compared to some other TKL keyboards like RedRagon or CoolerMaster). (Typically, for me, the heavier the keyboard, the better. (Your preferences may vary.) - Biggest con for me: Secondary (shifted) characters are low on the keys rather than backlit, and quite small (hard to see) actually does it look like as if the minor characters were only drawn, and not even transparent, !@#$ and similar characters should be transparent, placed higher, closer to the main 1234 characters (etc.). So that they are properly illuminated by the backlight. For example, the :pausebreakkey key worked correctly and both words are highlighted normally. This is how all keys should be made. Good quality keycaps often display both primary and offset key characters with backlighting, so this is a pretty cheap shortcut that Razer used. I could buy a better set of keycaps, but that would increase the cost to the point where you could just buy a similar keyboard that comes with your desired quality keycaps to begin with. - No additional USB port on the keyboard. - Keyboard tilt only in one direction. The best keyboards allow this in both directions, so you can either lift the front or the back of the keyboard. Summary: In the offer I think it's a good price. There are probably better wholesale keyboards out there. I find the Red Dragon TKL keyboard paired with the keycap set sold by Razer plus the additional set of dual O-rings to be a slightly more satisfying keyboard overall. (Much heavier keyboard, solderless switches with swappable switches (within the Outemu bug). Of course, the actual lifespan of the switch remains to be seen. Some suggestions for Razer: Sell it with a better, thicker set of keys. Place the secondary (shifted) characters higher on the keys so they can be backlit Add an extra USB port Make the keyswitch sockets solderless (replaceable) Make it a little heavier (similar to Drop Ctrl but half the Money) Make the keyboard tiltable to both sides (especially ergonomic, _away_ from the user) changeable switches (does not work in Outemu). The actual Switch lifespan remains to be seen, of course. A few tips for Razer: Sell it with a better, thicker set of keys. Place the secondary (moved) characters higher on the keys so they can be emphasized. Add an extra USB port. Make solderless key switch sockets (interchangeable). Make it a little harder. (Somewhat like Drop Ctrl but half the price). Make keyboard tiltable to both sides (especially ergonomic, _away_ from the user) changeable switches (does not work in Outemu).
