Review on Get Tangle-Free Audio Bliss with the V-MODA Crossfade Wireless Over-Ear Headphone by Ray Welchhance

Everything you need to know about great headphones.

This is the first headphone test right out of the box. First let me say that the packaging is very well suited to how the company is promoting their product. There is nothing cheap about the packaging, but the first impression was that you get your money's worth. The box is sealed with a ribbon that needs to be cut to show it's straight from the factory. Everything was neat and protected out of the box. The headphones came in a nice molded case and with all the accessories as promised on the box. The shields even came with a protective film to prevent scratches and the like. A quick look at the headphones reveals the build quality and in particular the metal knobs that rotate the headphones. It's not a durable plastic lever like most other brands I've reviewed and tested and can eventually chip and crack if overused. When you see them live you will understand that the photos don't do it justice. For this price you get very professional looking headphones that you can use in the gym (my main reason). Pairing was easy, no instructions were even required. Got a load right out of the box. Put them on and they will be comfortable and my hat size 7 3/8 will fit nicely on my dome. I find the metal levers and articulation help with that. Even if you have a small head, it will fit. They're a bit heavier than some of the others but nothing unbearable, I think it makes them sit up and feel better. Now when I turn them on and listen to music (using Spotify and tracks stored on my phone) it was a nice mix of mids and highs. The bass was moderate, not overpowering or lacking. I'm sure you can use your device or 3rd party equalizer to make some adjustments. But for me it was ok. I'm by no means a music lover, just a guy who loves his music, crisp, clean and vibrant. They will deliver. I wore them for 30 minutes and had no discomfort (I wear glasses). Memory foam pillows maintain proper pressure. Now those who choose to wear them to the gym are no longer surprised. I started out on an elliptical and had no problem moving the headphones around (I'm a bit bald with a bit of puffiness). I did notice some warmth in the ears after the first 10 minutes, but that's to be expected with in-ear headphones. I bought the XL ear pads as many have suggested but haven't changed them yet. When I started to sweat, the earbuds stayed in place after 30 minutes. I've tried the incline and Nautilus machines with no problems, even with overhead movements, and the headphones didn't get in the way. I can't comment on how well they stay in place for a flat bank or incline, but I suspect you won't have a problem unless you have a lot of hair where you have the same problem with most others will have headphones. Headphone volume gets louder if you turn the volume on your device to maximum and then use the headphones to control it. When the volume is low you can still pick up the sounds around you, which is nice and loud, even drowning out the music being played at the gym. I haven't tested taking calls with them, but should you still be on the phone at the gym? I got compliments, maybe for not wearing the usual black headphones that all look the same. I have a shiny red shield thinner than the most stylish V-Modas! Conclusion: high-quality workmanship, great fit, best looks, water and sweat-resistant, easy to use/pair, no complaints after 1 hour and 45 minutes at a time. In my opinion the sound is ideal for listening to most genres. I have Harmon Kardon and Beats by Dre in my car and for me the sound falls somewhere in between as far as headphones go. Also, after doing some research, I found that people who have bought Crossfade Wireless, M100 and other models are long-time buyers and really love the sound. Oh yes, and you can't beat what you're getting at this price!
