I love everything about this mount. I read reviews of every iPad mount I could find before deciding on this one despite the high price. It's a super complex construction and the best workmanship I've ever seen. It's built so expertly that it can get a little confusing on how things work until you get it and try it. Once in your hands, it's very easy to use and intuitive. The bridge is very strong and holds my iPad very firmly. It doesn't curve very far, but enough. The clip uses a ratcheting mechanism to grip a variety of items and holds very tightly. The various components of this Octa TabletTail line are a truly interchangeable system. You can connect any components on either side of the bridge. It's versatile enough to do lots of other things without using your tablet. For example, you could have a clip on either end to hold the workbench project on a flexible arm (if you bought an extra clip). One feature I haven't seen in the documentation is that it rotates 360 degrees on either end of the bridge and once you have it the way you want it you can tug on the retaining ring that holds it in place and position. This spider mount fits my iPad Air even with the lid open. After experimenting with it a bit, I found that it fits my iPhone 6 Plus (big screen) when I put my phone far away. My only disappointment is that it doesn't fit my large iPad Pro. I went straight to the Octa website and ordered a large spider mount which I think will fit. Because the system is interchangeable, I can use any bridge and clamp mount I've already purchased. I loved this product so much I also ordered direct from the Octa Vacuum Dock (which you pump up and looks very durable) and the MonkeyTail which can roll up like a base or wrap around anything. I cannot give this product a higher recommendation. The system is expensive but worth every penny.
