Awesome Fake CCTV Camera

I installed this dummy camera a few weeks ago and it's working great so far. In general I am very satisfied. For me there are three essential (functional) properties of such a camera: 1. Does it look believable? Yes. While this could be improved, I do NOT think the lack of looks (discussed below) will negatively affect its use.2. Is the flash powerful enough to draw someone's attention and/or surprise? Yes. While it could be a bit brighter, I think it's bright enough for the task.3. Does the motion sensor have sufficient range and sensitivity? About 20 feet is sufficient for our purposes. He seems very sensitive, but not overly sensitive. So yes. For our application, I think the camera handles this very well.4. Does he deceive people in general? No comment yet, but I expect this will fool any visitor who isn't paying close attention. (If you think about it, it's pretty obvious that the black wire doesn't go anywhere. This problem is common to most/all fake cameras. Also, the battery cover latch is probably a fake. More below.) Notes: Motion Detector monitors motion at a distance of up to 20 feet, maybe a little further. It seems to do a great job of capturing any human or animal movement. It works day and night which is very important for my implementation besides home lighting. The flashing light is bright enough to get someone's attention in the dark, but most people don't notice it during the day. I wouldn't mind if it was a bit brighter but it's enough to get the job done for us. Appearance is fairly realistic, except that it has a large clip/hinge on the side for the battery compartment. I haven't researched actual CCTV cameras but I suspect this type of latch/hinge is not used and is quite noticeable on closer inspection. However, it's not noticeable at any distance at night or during the day, so I don't think it will be a problem. However, I would advise the manufacturer to switch to a more believable design in the future. Important aspects not yet covered: 1. How well does it use and charge batteries? I do not know yet. I'm awaiting an order for batteries, so for now I'm using standard (non-rechargeable) AA.2. How well does it withstand bad weather? subject to clarification. Ours is mounted under an overhang and I don't expect we'll have any problems with that.
