Review on Complete Portion Control Container System - 14 Pieces With A 21-Day Plan by Rico Dantzler

The only good thing Then is the small amount of instructions

Lids do not seal. The set is just basic containers and the instructions tell you not to rely on the size of the container for a portion. The only good thing then is the small amount of instructions. Every portion needs measured and could be placed in something disposable like a zip top bag rather than needing to hand wash tiny containers and lids each night. I like to use olives for a prep snack; it is awful to try to fully wash the healthy fats container. If anything gets stuck into the corners, good luck. I had to soak in hot soapy water everytime I needed to clean them because they are too small to wash in a dishwasher. It took me back to the days of washing baby bottles every two days. It was not fun.A scale, measuring cups, and a lunch sack would work better. I have a larger, meal prep lunch tote with cold and hot compartment areas. I know this is not the most environmentally friendly idea but I usually place items in ziptop bags for easy disposal and quick repacking for the next day. Yes, I do use Glad-type containers and hand wash those too. This sounds simplistic but those Glad and Rubbermade containers are not sharply squared off containers. They are much easier to wash than these portion control containers. And if you look, they have a portion measurement on the smaller containers sets. I find these much easier for me to not have the excuse that I don't have time to pack a good breakfast, snack, lunch, snack for when I am away from home for the day. Eating well and portion meal preping takes discipline but it should also be as easy as possible to maintain. I have lost #115 by doing this and exercising. Some days, dreading washing and packing could be enough of an excuse to stop. I can't have that as an excuse so I do as much as possible to solve potential excuses. I am totally capable of coming up with my own terrible excuses not to do well and to hit a greasy drive-thru. But time packing my lunch is rarely one of them.

Pros
  • Can be easily transported to work, school, or on-the-go, making it perfect for busy professionals or individuals with an active lifestyle
Cons
  • The 21-day plan may not provide enough guidance on managing social situations and eating out
