Good and bad water sports

Update: Leveling takes forever. Continues to lose air at valve ports above 12psi. Bought this pump to replace a Bravo BT12 analog two stage inflator which has just negated the main advantages of displaying current pressure and being able to inflate to 20psi. My new boat needs 15psi in all chambers. Another positive point, this pump has a fan that cools it. I think it's good value for money and I'll keep it, at least until it dies. I haven't tested the accuracy so I'm giving 4 stars I assume it's accurate. Now let's list the negative points: 1. High-speed or high-volume mode is relatively slow and not strong enough. Tried different pumps, this is the slowest. I also think it's not as good at deflating as other pumps for this reason. High pressure mode is pretty good, but slows down significantly after about 12psi.3. Car plug 12V. which might be fine, but I would have preferred the alligator plug option. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. It's a matter of attitude.4. The hose is my main issue with this inflator. I definitely prefer the Bravo pressure hose over this screw-in hose. It's very stiff and a silicone ring if you think about it, so I couldn't fit it to 2 different boats from different manufacturers until I replaced the ring itself from the Bravo connector. Another problem is the stiffness of this hose, it will loosen up from time to time and you have to constantly check how tight the connection is. Also, since the connector is screwed on, the hose becomes quite proprietary, so you can't just swap it out with another.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Protection
