Review on 🦄 Lime Crime Unicorn Hair Crimson Red Semi-Permanent Hair Dye - 6.7 oz. - Fantasy Hair Color for Valentine's Day by Tara Williams

Update: Since first using this color I have used Sea Witch, Lipstick and Blue Smoke and my favorite chocolate Cherry. As you can see in the images above I've had good luck with every color I used. I touched up the Sea Witch a bit with Manic Panics Electric Lizard to get a more true green, but the intensity of each color remained nice and natural throughout its lifespan. Personally, this is also my best smelling semi-permanent color on the market. Arctic fox smells too purple for my taste. Lime Crime is an amazing company and their color is no different. Make sure you know what kind of coverage you want: TINT doesn't do more than that and fades quickly like it should. FULL COVER gets much deeper and seems to last a little longer. You can't wash your hair every day! As a stylist, I can tell you that HOW you apply any of these colors makes a HUGE difference in how long they last and how vibrant they are. You can't apply regular hair color to messy hair and expect it to come out vibrant. They do not contain anything that opens the cuticle like regular hair dye does. This is a vegetable dye and requires clean, unconditioned hair for best results. Personally, I've used Arctic Fox, Manic Panic, Sparks, Joico, Ion, and Pravana, as well as many other semi-permanent hair dyes. I always wash my hair with a clarifying shampoo, dry it completely and apply color. For best results, all of these non-treatable color solutions should be left on for a LONG time. My minimum without heat and processing cap is 2 hours. Rinse until water runs clear, light shampooing and intense conditioning will help set it. I also use CHI oil to seal it with an iron. With this method, my intense color lasts at least 4 weeks. The minimum number of washes also helps to preserve the color. I personally used chocolate cherries. I prefer deep, bright colors and chocolate cherries. I've been wearing it for about ten days and it's still beautiful. Lighter but not dark at all. Next time I will use Blue Smoke, hopefully with the same results. The front part of my hair was pre-lightened, but not light blonde, but dark brown. This color has been used throughout to achieve the beautiful results you see below. TL; DR, they are great if you use them like other temporary light colors. Remember to use full coverage or tint to get desired results.
