I have an electric mountain bike hardtail with Big Apple 28 x 2.25 road tires. I weigh 150 pounds. Got this seat post the other day. Springy. Maybe it had to be ridden a few miles or maybe I'm used to it You can adjust the tension if you want, I haven't done that before I find it a great improvement for my E- I not only experience more comfort, but also have much better control and overcome bumps in the road with confidence At speeds over 50km/h when going down steep hills, I especially appreciate when I hit unexpected bumps that this is the best of them. I will say that I am very satisfied with this purchase. Please note that the SR Suntour SP12-Ncx seatposts will be heavier than your original post. updates. I posted this post on my Road Electric which is a 28 mph rigid bike. Currant tires 700c x 40 mm. What a huge difference in comfort and handling. I adjusted the post to the softest setting. I highly recommend this post to anyone with a hardtail.
