Probably better for heavy people.

I know this device has tons of rave reviews, but if you're a light person like me, you probably won't be as impressed. I weigh about 135, and even with the "lightweight"/soft suspension in this thing (which I had to order separately from Suntour for about $15 [and is said to be rated for 100-140 pound folks]) the Cushioning quite good, not great. Specifically: This thing has about 2 inches of travel, which is great. But at my light weight, I can only get about 3/4 inch of cushioning on a big…

It works! good for cycling

I flexed my right quad for shock absorption on my bike during a tour because my bike is pretty unforgiving. At the age of 60 I drove about 6,000 miles before I finally realized I had to do something about it. Now I can sit up straight and ride even the toughest bumps without jumping out of my seat and it puts less strain on my arms and shoulders. I tried it on the worst street in my area (several times) where I always had to get up to get through or I would literally be thrown out of my seat…

Slim but not wobbly

To speed up my commute around town and also to get some exercise I recently bought a used commuter bike. On my first day commuting to and from work, the bumps in the road caused me back pain. Frustrated, I considered returning the bike. There is no way I would spend $$ on a mountain bike (full suspension or otherwise). Browsing the internet for soft seats, I came across the suspension seatpost phenomenon. Get in that seatpost. Installed as received, went to test. Wow! no matter! The ride was…

I feel much more comfortable driving!

I bought this to give my 2019 Radmini a smoother ride. The first seat I fitted to this seatpost was a wide, winged seat with fairly flexible suspension springs, and combined with this seatpost made for a very smooth, and at times very springy, ride. However, after upgrading to the Cloud9 Cruiser saddle, which has springs so stiff I'm pretty sure they're just for beauty, I realized how much work my previous seat did to absorb road bumps in combination with this one to absorb saddle. Now it seems

Great for rigid bikes

The seat post arrived in the original packaging, no box just a plastic bag with instructions. The materials appear to be well made, some of which are excellent for a commuter or touring bike. Installation and setup was easy, just remove the old seatpost, mount the seat on the rails and fit into the frame. Sit on the bike and adjust it so that it feels comfortable and gives it a bounce. They should be about 1/3 compressed when you sit on them normally. If you need to adjust it, there is a screw…

More comfort, control and confidence.

I have an electric mountain bike hardtail with Big Apple 28 x 2.25 road tires. I weigh 150 pounds. Got this seat post the other day. Springy. Maybe it had to be ridden a few miles or maybe I'm used to it You can adjust the tension if you want, I haven't done that before I find it a great improvement for my E- I not only experience more comfort, but also have much better control and overcome bumps in the road with confidence At speeds over 50km/h when going down steep hills, I especially…

Very good seat post suspension!

I ride an e-bike with big tires. This is a cruiser style that is very suitable for moderate trails and therefore uneven terrain. Its front suspension is great, but with the Suntour SP12-NCX, my ride is much softer for my rear as I didn't want to make the seat bigger as it can get in the way a bit on harder trails. ordered a heavier spring since mine is 190#. This shock absorber moves the damping movement down and back, an excellent design used in highly acclaimed and much more expensive…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Nothing

I rarely write reviews. I bought this seatpost myself and this is my honest review and nobody asked me to write it etc. Choice (Things to consider): Make sure you choose the right diameter and length of seatpost (I have 27, 2). mm / 350mm). Measure the diameter of your current seat post. Also, in my experience on the two bikes I've installed it on, I'm glad I noticed the bottle cage that was mounted to the seat tube (rather than the down tube). Because of this I had to go with 350mm as opposed…
