He does what I need! Recommended for VW owners.

Initially skeptical how this under $100 unit could perform the same functions as a VAG-COM machine costing hundreds to thousands of dollars. It happened! I was able to verify codes that my cheap Bluetooth couldn't get. I bought it to be able to do more with my daughter's VW Jetta 2010. Even after a small repair and CEL off, I decided to scan other control modules. Tracking down that elusive lightbulb is a pain. I found it 2 days before it arrived and the lights were off but I thought let's see what this thing says. He told me exactly which bulb was not working. High beam, front right. The real reason I bought it was that after someone else tried to 'fix' the light off issue and failed, I realized it was body control. Module fuse, causing the airbag light to come on. So I needed a way to reset this without going to the dealer and spending a few hundred checks and resets. The airbag code was low voltage. Removed all codes from all modules and test drove the car. Everything has returned to normal. Now if I just get them to change their oil on time, there will be fewer problems.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Flaws
