Review on 📞 Panasonic KX-TG1062M DECT 6.0 Corded/Cordless Phone: Answering Machine, Metallic Gray, 2 Handsets by Rodney Handy

It's surprisingly hard to find good standalone answering machines these days so I ended up buying this combo set - complete with corded and cordless phones and answering machine. I've been using it for over 5 months with no problems. There are two things I would like to change: The wired phone cord is very, very short. You'll need to sit upright on this phone to use it, as the cable that came with it is only about 18 inches long (it was easy and inexpensive to replace). Another thing I can't change is the volume control. It would be nice to just push a button or flip a switch to turn off the bell, but you have to do this through a multi-step programming process. It's not difficult, it just takes a lot longer than flipping a switch. Note that you can also set up a timed ringtone that turns off at a specific time every day and starts ringing at a specific time. Another thing I would like is a lower volume. While you have multiple volume settings to choose from, the lowest setting is still too loud for my liking. On the other hand, I LOVE the fact that you can program phone numbers that are then blocked from ringing. Even though I'm on my do not call list, I still get a lot of unwanted calls. Now every time I get this number it is simply programmed into the system to block all future calls from this number. As I am still using a phone that did not come with this system, I found that this phone rings once due to these blocked calls before the Panasonic system stops it. I suspect, but am not sure, that these blocked calls wouldn't even ring if I wasn't using another non-Panasonic phone. The sound quality of the answering machine is excellent. The sound quality of my last two answering machines was so bad that I actually thought my hearing was getting worse. But this one is crystal clear and I can hear every word on it. All in all a good and recommendable purchase.
