Review on 🐶 Empire Dog Cage by ProSelect by Alexis Jordan

This is an update. We've had the cage for about five months now and all is quiet in our house. My Pitbull stopped fighting him after a week and now he walks on his own. It actually seems to calm him down now that he knows there's no point in fighting. I wish I had bought this before I spent $1,000 to reinforce my fence, but live and learn. This cage saved my dog for us. Below is my original review with some modifications. Very Important - The oversized kennel is very large and heavy as several reviewers have noted. The kennel will not fit through a standard sized door after assembly. So if you want to put them outside, you should assemble them from the outside. You need wheels to move it, but lock the wheels so it's stable once you put it in place. My 70 pound pit bull effortlessly went through two kennels like tissue paper and climbed my hot wire fence. squeaks and can detach from any line in a second. He's not vicious, just scared to death of being alone - a big kid who loves everyone he sees, even thieves. But God forbid, if another dog comes into our territory - that's what worries me the most. I had little hope that this cattery would solve our problem and in truth it was our last ditch effort to keep him in our family. I'm happy to report that after a week it was working great. He tried to attack him every morning but gave up after about twenty minutes and spent the rest of the day calmly, much calmer than I expected. It can even help his anxiety to be in something so strong that I have to report it. The cage is certainly sturdy - I think he might bend one of the bars at some point - but they're so close together that it's almost impossible for him to poke his snout through space to get a grip. (It hasn't been a problem since he stopped fighting it.) So far I'm very happy with the purchase. The box arrived via UPS within a few days but was damaged. I immediately emailed the seller through Revain and asked for instructions on how to proceed. They responded within an hour to try to put it together and let them know of any damage for a replacement. The grates were ok but the pan was damaged. The company told me to use it and they will send me a new pan. The pan came a week later. Excellent support. When assembling the kennel I was concerned that there are hinges on the underside of the side panels that look like they are meant to hold the bottom trellis in place and these hinges were bent and actually came loose when touched. I think they are more for show than anything because they are not needed to hold the lower grille. It is attached with four large screws. Time will tell if the screws are up to the task, but they seem solid to me. However, the company has to deal with these problems. I bought a $4 iTunes app called "Dog Monitor" which allows us to see, hear and talk to him all day long on our phones (we use our iPad as a camera at home). It's very nice to be able to check it out.
