The fit is great, take your first guess. Slightly thinner than the UA thermal jacket.
I'm tall in most shirts (16.5 inch neckline and 34/35 skinny shirts in collared shirts). I bought the medium because I like that the base layers are tighter so they don't feel too tight The fit was perfect, just long enough to tuck pants in and not ride up. I thought they were thicker, I'd say it's a mix of warm under armor and their thermal gear. For the price they are amazing. and will be a good thermal base layer.
