This is so cool! I had several rooms in the house with only one Category 5 network cable. In one case I need to connect 2 devices with one cable - plug them in (one on each end) and 2 cables to the switch and it works great. On another occasion I use 2 on each side to go from the internet to the firewall in my office and then back to the internet switch. They work, but some people who comment in their review that they don't work are not using them properly. You should have 1 device on each end of a network cable (not just the device that would normally be connected to your computer, connect 2 devices instead - this will NOT work). On the side of your switch you will need to connect one of these to your single jack along with the 2 patch cords that came with your switch. On the user/computer side you need to plug one of these into your only outlet and then use 2 patch cords to connect your 2 devices. I hope this helps those of you who didn't think they worked.
