I bought this portable air conditioner, one of the largest they make because mine is 1400 square feet. Feet no air conditioning. Had to be used mainly to cool the ground floor of the house, but unfortunately could hardly keep 73 degrees in my 300 sqm living room. ft. The compressor is ridiculously difficult to start, so the power draw, or amperage, nearly doubled our electric bill, and that's after just half a week of use. If you set the temperature below 23 degrees, the machine will probably keep running because the built-in fan cannot push the cold air far enough to cool the surrounding area. I would have expected that from a smaller car. I think I was misled by the square footage listed in the description because it just can't compete with even a 200 square foot enclosed bedroom. I am very disappointed especially as I paid 499 for the product and I see the price has been reduced to 469. Since Honeywell is supposedly a good brand, I am very disappointed. I wish I could save the money and time I put into the product, especially given the huge delay in the promised delivery. If you need cold air, check out other portable air conditioners or save up for Central Air! I wish I had saved the money I spent on Central Air instead!
