YUP! YUP! YUP! Best in Portable

I had an older smaller Haier set for my tiny house (341 square feet well insulated). Sitting directly in front of it wouldn't make me feel stuffy, but other than that it didn't cool the room. I live in the hot humid south and after a heart attack I can't take the heat anymore. My heart starts pounding. Creepy. I bought this Honeywell last year and I love YOWZA and it probably saves my life. I turn it on and it gets better. Within 15 minutes the temperature drops by 5 degrees and after half an…

Big expensive useless doorstop

I purchased this item a few years ago and was pleased with how it worked. So when I needed a new one, I didn't hesitate to take it albeit an updated model. I read the reviews and although I was a bit apprehensive I bought it based on my past experience. It was an expensive mistake. The block worked fine for 4 days, then it stopped cooling at more than 2 degrees no matter what settings I set it to. The room is a medium-sized bedroom, all windows and doors are closed, the room temperature with…

  • Great overall performance

Good first impression, easy install

Very easy install, worked as expected on launch. No problems after our first day. The unit comes fully assembled except for the hose assembly and the panel that opens the window. Our box had straps all around and when they are removed the entire box lifts up allowing the unit to sit fully open on the bottom of the box. Very clever - no need to turn the box upside down or do other oddities to get the device out. Our window slides horizontally so the panel is deployed vertically; I was worried it

Pros
  • Finally bought it

  • Some cons

Loud, overpriced, electric Bill Tainter, mini fridge with fan.

I bought this portable air conditioner, one of the largest they make because mine is 1400 square feet. Feet no air conditioning. Had to be used mainly to cool the ground floor of the house, but unfortunately could hardly keep 73 degrees in my 300 sqm living room. ft. The compressor is ridiculously difficult to start, so the power draw, or amperage, nearly doubled our electric bill, and that's after just half a week of use. If you set the temperature below 23 degrees, the machine will probably…

Cools well but has installation issues

Cools the space above my garage fairly well but had installation issues. First, the window adapter has a minimum width of about 32 inches, which is nowhere mentioned in Revain's description. My window is only 25 inches wide. Honeywell's website shows adapters that shrink to 19 inches for all other portable air conditioners, so I assumed that would apply to them as well. Not so. When I called the Honeywell service center to get a new adapter, a customer service representative told me that there…

Quality control problems. Same internal damage on 3 units

I have had several LG, Idylis and Whynter portable air conditioners. As the summer heat approached, I decided it was time to replace my broken LG portable air conditioner. After reading all the positive reviews about other models of Honeywell portable air conditioners, I decided to give them a try. From that moment on, my experience with Honeywell turned into a nightmare. The device arrived within 2 days thanks to Amazon Prime and FedEx. Unboxing was fairly easy, only requiring cutting 2 straps

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
