This product keeps the water temperature at 80 degrees all the time which is what I wanted. I use this in my Aqueon Evolve 4 tank and haven't had any problems. I bought this instead of a cheaper 10 watt heater based on negative reviews. This product also has an indicator light that lets you know when the heater is on and the water is heating. This heater doesn't stay on all the time, instead using what I think is the thermostat when needed.
