More detailed instructions needed and plastic not as strong as PVC

I don't know if the product has ever worked properly for me or if it broke under pressure. The instructions illustrate another part with similar characteristics and are not very illustrative. I know I installed it like any other Fernco coupler but the pictures speak for themselves. I had a deadline to get this working so I ordered various highly recommended parts and now my sump system is working as it should. I'm disappointed that this part didn't work as expected, but I was able to reuse the flexible coupling that was included.
