Good Check Valve: Water Pumps, Parts & Accessories

The valve is very easy to install as it accepts standard 1-1/2" NPT threads on all sump pumps. The rubber boot on the check valve is for 1.5" and 1.25" PVC pipe, which is nice. The check valve works as it should and is very quiet.

Simple and practical complete with clamps

Used to install a drainage pump on the street. Sounds like a good check valve. Over time we will see if he has problems being outside all year round. It goes well with PVC pipes. I liked that it comes with clips and easily fits onto my drain pump.

A few common hand tools would have been helpful

This valve has reversible connections for two sizes of exhaust pipe. It screws into the pump early. UNLOADING without tools, just wrap threads with Teflon tape. It was so easy to install under my house as plug and play. You may need a saw if your existing exhaust pipe is 1 1/4 inch in diameter.

  • Decent job

  • Damaged

More detailed instructions needed and plastic not as strong as PVC

I don't know if the product has ever worked properly for me or if it broke under pressure. The instructions illustrate another part with similar characteristics and are not very illustrative. I know I installed it like any other Fernco coupler but the pictures speak for themselves. I had a deadline to get this working so I ordered various highly recommended parts and now my sump system is working as it should. I'm disappointed that this part didn't work as expected, but I was able to reuse the…

Fits both 1.5 " and 1.25 " Outlet Tubes

This check valve was recently installed on a new Wayne drain pump. Very easy installation. I used a 1.25" pipe. You just have to flip the rubber boot plug and use the 2 clips that come with it. Since installing it has rained 2 days in a row so it works a lot. It's probably got 60-70 cycles so it is very early in the durability game. This is a new install. The previous pump was here and was old when we moved into the house 27 years ago. Let's see how this holds up. The check valve is quiet and…

Cheap plastic, not grade 40, ripped after 1 1/2 weeks of use.

I installed a new Wayne Blue Angel drain pump and this Wayne check valve. The check valve was vibration isolated with a rubber adapter and another rubber adapter 16 inches above it. After a week and a half of use, a check valve just on the bottom of the clamp snapped in heavy rain. This caused the cesspool to overflow and my wife and I had a serious accident! Getting our money back on this product is not enough for what we have been through and are going through until we can get a permanent…

Disappointed with the quality

Finding a check valve was a little harder than I expected so I contacted the pump manufacturer (Wayne). As others have noted it's not a very thick piece, certainly not a chart of 40. It was easy enough to install and worked fine for 7 months. I recently noticed that the basement was wetter than it should have been and discovered that the check valve had failed and was spewing water while the pump was running. In fact, it tore at the seam and did not bring any benefit. I found a PVC option that…
