Review on 💧 Wayne Pumps 66005-Wyn Check Valve: Reliable PVC Valve for Optimal Pump Performance by Ronald Wheeler

Finding a check valve was a little harder than I expected so I contacted the pump manufacturer (Wayne). As others have noted it's not a very thick piece, certainly not a chart of 40. It was easy enough to install and worked fine for 7 months. I recently noticed that the basement was wetter than it should have been and discovered that the check valve had failed and was spewing water while the pump was running. In fact, it tore at the seam and did not bring any benefit. I found a PVC option that seems to work fine, but I'm disappointed with this valve and would like to use PVC first. My setup has an 8-9 foot stroke from the pump with this check valve on the pump. Not sure if it was too much back pressure but it broke like an egg.
