Review on RayHom 8-Bay Fast Charging AA AAA Battery Charger with LCD Display, Individual Slots for Ni-MH AA AAA Rechargeable Batteries by Laura Hughes

LCD charge/power indicator inaccurate, connector bulky

Meh. upset. The LCD battery level indicators are inaccurate. Constantly shows as 100% charged (and presumably going into "charging" mode) but when testing on two different testers many of the "fully charged" batteries are actually only 50% and 70% charged so I have to go They're there for longer periods of time to get fully charged in continuous charge mode - or spend time playing musical battery slots so they can "start over" for a while before returning to continuous charge mode - all for the sake of being less accurate power level indicators. This happens with four different brands of batteries with different mAh capacities. Another issue is that the plug is a medium-sized transformer and is side-oriented, so it's not suitable for side or riser configuration extensions unless their outlets are wider than standard spacing. That means most likely the plug of each charger occupies two outlets in our power array. The good news is that the chargers are small, quiet, very portable (although vulnerable LCD screens require them to be protected in transit), don't get hot and won't fry batteries (yet) as the proverbial SunLabz batteries evaporate.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Damaged
