Should not have bought this vacuum cleaner. We have a golden retriever that sheds a lot so I thought it would be a good option. However, the design is so imperfect that it is practically unusable. I had to disassemble the base of the vacuum cleaner 5 times in 5 months because the belt was clogged with pet hair. I have attached a video as an example. A huge dense ball of dog hair clogged the belt, causing the roller to stop turning. Also began to burn hair, from which a terrible smell emanated. The amount of hair shown in the video has accumulated after about 3 uses (since my last cleanse). Also, the roller brush spins at full speed even when you're just using the hose, so it's easy to damage the carpet when you vacuum vertically. I have to put the vacuum cleaner on its back to use the hose. And I don't even like using a hose because the pet hair attachment just doesn't work. In short, if like me you want to buy a vacuum cleaner to get rid of all your pet hair, buy a Shark. We had one for four years and it worked perfectly. The non-mechanical piece of plastic on it broke so I wanted to try something new and feel like I wasted my money. I hope you learn from my mistake - while it doesn't seem like you're going to run into these issues, you're likely to experience similar design flaws.
