These are now my seven year old's favorite pair of shoes. We have the version with orange paint splatter and she tries to wear it with everything. They fasten with Velcro and are easy to put on and take off, making life easier for everyone. They dry quickly in the water as we wore them in the pool but she wears them everyday too. I would say they are wide but she has very narrow legs. They're of pretty decent quality and should definitely last through the summer. The upper feels like neoprene and behaves like neoprene when dry. The sole is thick and protective.
