Review on Hive Disc Claw Golf Retriever by Chris Long

This is sooooo helpful if you lose a disc in a river, but there are a few things to keep in mind. First, the hook is pretty good. I was amazed at how well this grabber works with hard drives. The hook is easy to pull out and eat when done. Second, the upgrade I would make is the cable for this grip. It's a decent plastic cord, but the knot tying it to the handle isn't good. I was lucky and my grip was right on the edge of the river, but with a slight jerk it broke. So lucky for me it was close to the edge and my drive was with it but I would have upgraded. The material isn't that strong so I just bought paracord, tied a new thread and three old ones. Now it works like a charm. Third, if you're trying to grab a disc in a river and the current is fast, a little skill is required. When you start pulling the hook, it also catches the current and starts moving. So it takes some practice to get used to pulling on it and catching the disc at the right angle. Overall the product is solid, but a slight cable upgrade is required.
