Save these discs: Sports

These are essential when playing on fields with a lot of water. Well worth the money, I have had/lost a few disc catchers over the years and they are fantastic. The discs cost $10 to $20. So if you save just a few, you'll get your money back. For me it's easy. Also, this particular brand/style is great compared to others as it has a slot in the pole that prevents it from getting stuck in weeds and sticks. Old-school models with a full pole are more likely to tangle. Good news there.

Good buy: Leisure Sports & Game Room

I didn't read the description carefully so it's not what my husband was looking for. A nylon rope is attached to it. In fact he hadn't used it yet and said it was a good price and he would keep it. work if he drowned and had to try to get it. It was my fault for not reading carefully. it is very well made and arrived quickly. will definitely be preserved.

Pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it.

I've only used this once but it worked great and saved my ride. I threw the disc on the ice, which was too thin to walk on and the disc too far to reach with a long stick. It took a few casts with this retriever, but I was able to hook my disc and get it back. It takes some time to figure out how to kill a retriever, but it's worth it if it saves even one slice. I keep a 300 yard spool of rope in my bag in case the included rope isn't long enough, which I find can be a problem depending on how…

Absolute Monster in Disc Sports

I bought this to collect 3 of my discs from a bronco in Las Vegas. Well, none of my CDs were returned to me, but I got 23 others out! I paid $10 for golf and didn't even play! I literally pulled slice after slice out of the water and laughed. I plan to replace the leash with 50ft of paracord. This thing requires a bit of engineering. Pull from as high as you can. Crouch while pulling to get a good bottom rake. Works best with sandy soil. Edit: Note that the discs you remove smell awful from…

Not bad but takes practice and saves discs

The I9 dropped a few discs in a creek and used them to get them out, but it wasn't as easy as I'd hoped. Talon kept dropping the CD when I picked it up. It took me a few times and the help of a stick to get my discs back. I don't think lifting things is practical, but if you were on the same level it would probably work better. The attached thread is also very short. If you buy one, you will need to bring an extra rope or bungee cord. Update: I've been using this for a while and it's actually…

Some upgrades

This is sooooo helpful if you lose a disc in a river, but there are a few things to keep in mind. First, the hook is pretty good. I was amazed at how well this grabber works with hard drives. The hook is easy to pull out and eat when done. Second, the upgrade I would make is the cable for this grip. It's a decent plastic cord, but the knot tying it to the handle isn't good. I was lucky and my grip was right on the edge of the river, but with a slight jerk it broke. So lucky for me it was close…

TYING THE KNOTS AGAIN! - Outdoor games and entertainment

I have to say right away that there is nothing wrong with the product. The weight is good and you won't have a problem getting good shots in the water. If you can get some good discs out of the water for $20, you'll get your investment back. it said. The utter ease that the company has put into attaching the rope to this device is unforgivable. I knew people had trouble losing these items and I understand why. The "knot" they use is actually a half knot, and if you manage not to lose the…
